Vertex Welding (video)
his is tutorial for vertex welding with edit mesh. Its an oldie but a goodie. Edit poly is the way to go these days, but the principle discussed here, does apply to Edit Poly as well. The operation is similar, but you are using 'Target Weld' instead.
